Accessibility Statement

The Ministry of Defense believes it is of utmost importance to adapt its website for users with physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities, in line with the principle that all people should have equal opportunity and access to services and information.

The Ministry of Defense invested significant resources to make the website accessible, in order to enable the majority of the population to use it easily and comfortably and to benefit from the services and contents published on it.

The site was built in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Service), 2013, and with Israeli Standard 5568, pursuant to W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, Level AA.

The website was tested using the JAWS screen reader and Chrome browser.

Accessibility features on the site include:

  • High contrast color combinations adapted for people with vision impairment.

  • Navigation and orientation tools are user-friendly. You can navigate the website using menus and a search bar.

  • The contents are written in a clear language. They are organized with headings and lists that enable both blind and sighted users to navigate the content easily.

  • You can navigate the website using a keyboard or another assistive technology. You can press the TAB key to move the cursor between different links, and press ENTER to click a link.

  • The site contains links that allow those who use a keyboard to skip sections and reach the page content quickly. On every page, you can get to the "skip" link by pressing the TAB key.
