Message from the Director-General of the Ministry of Defense

Dear families,

As someone who wore the IDF uniform for most of his life, as a soldier and commander, I have met and embraced many families who experienced the most painful loss. Brave soldiers who went out to defend the State of Israel, sacrificed their lives, and left behind bereaved families. There are no words that can ease the pain, but there are things we can and are obligated to do.

The Ministry of Defense and the Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department stand by you - to provide all the support, guidance and rights you deserve. This is our duty as a state and as a security system, and it is at the core of our work.

The employees of the Families Department work around the clock to provide you with personal, professional and sensitive guidance, and are always thinking of ways to improve and expand services for you - including moving to digital tools that will make complex processes easier and more efficient.

The new website was built with the aim of making all information about the rights and benefits you are entitled to accessible, and allowing you to perform many actions independently and conveniently. I hope you will find it a useful tool.
