Terms of Use
The Ministry of Defense (hereinafter: "the Ministry") provides the information on this website (hereinafter: "the Service"), and the user utilizes the Service subject to these Terms of Use
The term "user" means any person who connects or interacts with the Service, or is the owner of the account that interacts with the Service.
Copyright
According to copyright laws, including Israeli law and international treaties, the copyright in the Ministry's publications, including the information published on this Service, belongs to the State of Israel - the Ministry of Defense. These copyrights cover, among other things, texts, images, illustrations, maps, audios, videos, graphics, software and applications (hereinafter: "the protected material"), unless it is expressly stated that the copyright in the protected material belongs to another party.
Subject to copyright laws, the user is prohibited from copying, redistributing, retransmitting and/or publishing protected material without the prior written consent of the Ministry.
The user is permitted to make fair use of the protected material. When making fair use of protected material, the user undertakes to indicate the source from which the protected material was taken. The user is prohibited from making any distortion, damage or any action in the protected material that has the effect of diminishing the value of the protected material in a way that may harm the reputation of the copyright holder.
Responsibility fo the State
The Service is offered to the public "as is". The State of Israel shall not be responsible for adapting the Service to the user's needs.
The State of Israel shall not be responsible for any damage caused to the user and/or any third party due to the use of this Service and/or the information appearing in the Service. "Damage" in this section means any damage, whether direct or indirect, including damage caused as a result of reliance on the information appearing in the Service, from incorrect and/or misleading information appearing in the Service, from the temporary or permanent shutdown of the Service, from the use of applications and software downloaded directly through the Service or activated as a result of the use of the Service (including Javascript, Java, ActiveX applications), from the deletion, modification or any other disruption caused to the information appearing in the Service, or from any damage caused as a result of the use of another site that is linked to this Service.
The user alone is responsible for the manner in which he uses the Service and/or the information published in the Service, as well as for any damage that may be caused as a result of such use.

The State is not responsible for the contents found on third-party sites.
Links to third-party sites should not be interpreted as an endorsement, approval, recommendation or preference by the Ministry for those linked sites, including advertisements appearing on these sites and/or the operators of the sites.
Contacting the Ministry through the Service
The user is invited to contact the Ministry via the e-mail addresses that appear on the Service, provided that he provides his name and full details. The Ministry may respond to the applicant, if required, by mail, fax, this Service (e-mail) or by any other means.
Legislation
We refer the user the provisions of the Computers Law, 1995.
Other Publications by the State of Israel and the Ministry of Defense
In any case of contradiction and/or inconsistency between the material presented in this Service and that stipulated in any other legislation or publication appearing in "Reshumot" (law gazette of record for the State of Israel), the legislation or publication appearing in "Reshumot" will prevail.
In any case of contradiction and/or inconsistency between the material presented in this Service and another official publication of the Ministry, the Ministry alone will determine which one will be considered correct.
Use of WhatsApp for receiving services from the Department of Families, Commemoration and Heritage
The use of the WhatsApp app for the purpose of receiving the Service from the Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department at the Ministry of Defense is at the sole discretion of the customer, and the customer is the party that bears full and exclusive responsibility for the use of this Service. In order to protect your privacy, it is recommended to ensure that the use of your device, and in particular WhatsApp, is your exclusive use, as sensitive content and information about you may be transferred and/or exposed, at your choice, through this Service. It is also recommended to ensure additional protection measures on your device, including using a lock code for your device and/or personal biometric fingerprints.
Use of the application is in accordance with WhatsApp's terms of use, and by joining this Service you agree to these terms of use. The Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department of the Ministry of Defense does not control the application, does not operate it or oversee it, and therefore does not guarantee in any way the performance and/or the results you will receive from using WhatsApp, nor does it guarantee that the operation of the application will be continuous or error-free or that the information displayed by the application will not contain errors.
It is important for us to emphasize and inform you that the actions you take within the framework of this Service may be stored on servers of WhatsApp with end-to-end encryption, and in accordance with its privacy policy. However, it should also be emphasized that a backup of the conversations on your part in the application may be stored without the aforementioned encryption, and is your sole responsibility. The application and the use made of it by you, in particular by way of providing information, including personal and sensitive information, is at your sole risk, and the fact that the Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department enables you to receive a service through WhatsApp does not constitute a guarantee of its legality and/or reliability and/or any other aspect involved.
Furthermore, the Department shall not be liable for any damage and/or defect and/or malfunction and/or loss of any kind whatsoever, including and without derogating from the generality of the foregoing, hardware and/or software damage and/or loss of data that may be caused to you, whether directly or indirectly, as a result of using the WhatsApp application, and shall not be liable for any damage and/or injury and/or loss whatsoever, which may be caused to you as a result of relying on the information presented in the application and/or as a result of a defect or malfunction in the software that operates the application or the access to the application and/or due to cancellation or termination of the Service.
The Service provided to the users of the Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department via WhatsApp is at the sole discretion of the Department, and the Department may discontinue the provision of this Service at any time at its sole discretion and for any reason whatsoever. In addition, the Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department may change these Terms of Use at any time.
Use of the reading service on the Families, Commemoration, and Heritage Department's website
General
The reading service (hereinafter: "the Service") is provided by the Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department at the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with an external technology provider, and is intended to make the information on the site accessible through voice reading for personal use only.
Accuracy and responsibility
The Service is based on text-to-speech technology and may contain inaccuracies. The information that appears in the written version of the site is binding.
The Service is provided "as is " without warranty. The Families, Commemoration and Heritage Department is not responsible for any damages resulting from the use of or reliance on the Service.
Rights and usage
The rights to the content belong to the Ministry of Defense. Use of the service is intended for personal listening only.
The Service may not be used for copying, distribution or commercial use of the read content.
