What can you receive?

Bereaved parents

Parents are entitled to a one-time childbirth grant of 23,901 ₪ for the birth of a child after the loss of a fallen soldier.

The grant amount is fixed and uniform for each birth, regardless of whether one or more children are born.

Widows

The support is intended for women who were pregnant at the time of loss of their spouse.

Additional benefit for the widow: Starting from the seventh month of pregnancy (week 28) until childbirth, a monthly benefit of 3,354 ₪ is provided, in addition to the regular benefit. A woman who became a widow in the eighth or ninth month of pregnancy will receive the additional benefit from the month of recognition until childbirth.

Childbirth grant: After childbirth, a one-time grant of 31,576 ₪ is provided. The grant amount is fixed and uniform for each birth, regardless of whether one or more children are born.

How to apply?

  • To receive a pregnancy grant
    You must submit a medical certificate indicating the week of pregnancy to the welfare worker in the district.

  • To claim the childbirth grant
    You must submit the birth certificate of the baby to the welfare worker in the district.
