Assistive low vision aids and devices
What can you receive?
One-time participation in the purchase or lease of a closed-circuit television for people with visual disabilities, up to the amount of 7,146 ₪Last updated on 1.1.2026.
The assistance is provided as a supplement to funding by the Ministry of Health, the HMO, and supplementary insurance.
The assistance will be granted up to the maximum amount stipulated by law and will not exceed the cost of the instrument.
You should know: You can also acquire or lease medical instruments through the aid organizations "Yad Sarah" and "Ezer MiZion".
How to apply?
After acquiring or leasing the medical instrument, log in to your account and submit:
- Personal application letter
The letter should include personal details, information about the application, and contact details. - Medical certificate
Certificate by a physician regarding the need for the instrument (only for the first application). - Certificate of participation by other entities
Certificate by the Ministry of Health, HMO, or supplementary insurance regarding their participation amount. - Original invoice or receipt
In your name. If the receipt is required for additional funding, you may submit a certified copy.
If necessary, we will contact you and request additional documents to review the application.
What happens after you submit the application?
We will respond within 14 business days from the receipt of all required documents. If there is any delay, we will make sure to inform you.
After eligibility is approved, the reimbursement will be transferred via the monthly benefits slip.
What can you receive?
Reimbursement for lenses you acquired.
Reimbursement amount: up to 860 ₪Last updated on 1.1.2026 per year, or up to 1,434 ₪Last updated on 1.1.2026 every two years.
If you underwent surgery, you can request reimbursement within 6 months of the surgery date.
Bereaved parents and widows and widowers experiencing a second loss
Bereaved parents, widows and widowers experiencing a second loss are eligible for reimbursement of up to 200% of the assistance or double the frequency (twice within the specified period).
How to apply?
After acquiring lenses for glasses, log in to your account and submit:
- Medical certificate
A certificate indicating the need to acquire lenses due to illness or surgery - if this is the first time you are applying for reimbursement for lenses, or a certificate regarding the need to replace the lenses - if you have already received assistance to acquire lenses in the past. - Certificate by the supplementary insurance provider
Regarding participation or non-participation in this expense. - Original invoice or receipt
In your name.
If necessary, we will contact you to request additional documents.

Special lenses that magnify and improve the ability to see small or distant details. They can help with simple daily actions such as reading, watching TV, or recognizing faces.
What can you receive?
Reimbursement for the lenses you acquired.
The reimbursement amount is the difference between the amount you paid for the lenses and the amount you received from the Ministry of Labor and the Center for the Blind in Israel.
The reimbursement is provided on the condition that the lenses were purchased at an institute for rehabilitation of vision or a location to which you were referred by the institute.
For example: If you paid 5,000 ₪ for the lenses and received a reimbursement of 3,500 ₪ from the Ministry of Labor and the Center for the Blind, you will receive the difference, i.e., a reimbursement of 1,500 ₪.

Bereaved parents, widows, and widowers experiencing a second loss are eligible for reimbursement of up to 200% of the assistance, but the reimbursement will not exceed the actual expense.
How to apply?
After acquiring the lenses, log in to your account and submit:
- An invoice or receipt in your name.
- A certificate of blindness or visual disability confirmation (only for the first application).
- A recommendation by a low vision center.
- Confirmation of participation by the Center for the Blind.
If necessary, we will contact you to request additional documents.
