What is a psychogeriatric assessment?

Psychogeriatric assessment is intended for individuals aged 65 and older and includes a comprehensive examination by a physician specializing in psychogeriatrics. The purpose of the assessment is to evaluate the individual's physical health, mental state, and behavioral condition.

The physician will assess memory, mood, thinking and orientation, alongside conditions such as dementia, depression, or other cognitive changes.

The goal of the assessment is to understand the situation and make appropriate treatment decisions to improve the quality of life.

After the assessment, you can submit an application for reimbursement.

How to apply?

  • After undergoing a psychogeriatric assessment, please submit the original receipt to the welfare officer in the district to receive reimbursement.

  • It is recommended to forward the assessment results to the department, as we can assist in exercising additional rights related to caregiving and nursing.

  • If necessary, we will contact you and request additional documents.

  • We will respond within 25 business days from the receipt of all required documents. If there is any delay, we will make sure to inform you.  
  • After eligibility is approved, the reimbursement will be transferred via the monthly benefits slip.
