Mentoring for Orphans

Accompaniment and emotional support for orphans aged 4–18

Who is this page for?
    Widows and Widowers
    Orphans

What can you receive?

Mentorship provides orphans with companionship, emotional support and opportunities for shared social activities, and can help create a sense of security and belonging.

The mentors are adults (over the age of 21) who are carefully selected and trained by social workers. They accompany the orphans during regular sessions and help them when they face social and personal challenges in their daily lives.

The scope of mentorship is determined by the social worker in the district together with the surviving spouse, based on the needs of the orphan. Up to 10 weekly hours can be provided for each orphan.

How to apply?

To explore the possible mentoring options, please contact the social worker in your district and complete the application for mentoring services and the waiver of confidentiality form.
