Participation in funding daily activities at daycare centers
What is a daycare center?
A daily framework for senior citizens who have experienced a decline in their functioning and live at home. These centers typically operate 5 days a week in the mornings, and are run by the local authority or local associations under the supervision of the Ministry of Welfare.
The services at the centers include:
Transportation from home to the center and back, including accompaniment for those who need it.
Breakfast and lunch supervised by a dietitian.
Social activities such as clubs, lectures, and games.
Health services: Physical therapy, physical activity, nurse check-up, and geriatric consultation.
Personal services such as bathing, shaving, and laundry services (for an additional fee).
The purpose of the center is to enable continued living in the community and to provide support both to the senior citizens and their families.
What can you receive?
Assistance in funding visits to a daycare center.
The assistance is provided as part of the nursing care funding, and you can decide whether to use all the assistance hours at the daycare center or divide them between the daycare center and home care.
For example, if you are approved for 50 hours of nursing care assistance, you can allocate 20 hours to the daycare center and 30 hours to home care by a caregiver.

How to apply?
After receiving approval for caregiver support funding, you can log in to your account and apply in one of two ways:
Apply for referral.
Apply for reimbursement.
What happens after you apply?
We will respond within 25 business days from the receipt of all required documents. If there is any delay, we will make sure to inform you.
The payment will be made in one of two ways:
- If you applied for a referral – the payment will be transferred directly to the daycare center.
- If you applied for reimbursement – the payment will be transferred via the monthly benefits slip.
